What a Weekend!

First the mud pit incident with the van, and now I have another one to share!

We have a really sweet neighbor named Charlie, he's a retired DSM police officer and he LOVES the neighborhood kids. He has all sorts of fun stuff like scooters and old cars and he takes the kids for rides a lot. Last night he had out his old old Ford convertible. Meag and another kid were just sitting in the front seat, like they always do, and Charlie was sitting on the running board. Meag was in the passenger side and Levi was in the drivers seat, Levi wanted music, so Meag just turned the key thinking it would turn on the radio. Needless to say, the car started going and we couldn't stop it. It finally did stop by hitting another car parked in the garage. Luckily no one was hurt (except maybe for Charlie who fell twice trying to stop it!) but all of us were very shaken up! Several senarios could have happened that didn't, so for that we are so grateful! Lesson learned here!!! Meag just feels terrible, cause she knew she was the one who started the car, she learned her lesson!
