Christmas * Ice Day

PAUSE MUSIC

Sadly enough I didn't get to my camera in time to take pictures of the girls ripping into their Christmas presents, because if I had run for the camera I would have missed all the action! Meagan tore into her presents and was done in 5 seconds flat (it seemed like) and Sam followed suit! They had a blast and loved everything they received! Grandpa and Grandma and Papa Johnny were so generous and gave the girls wonderful presents! Santa went way over board this year, as usual, and the girls got just what they wanted! Sam wanted a little baby pig with a bottle and Meag wanted her tiny princesses with their dresses and they got it, along with many many other wonderful gifts! We got a white and very cold Christmas, which was great! Christmas came and went way too fast, much to Matts disappointment and my gratitude! You better believe the decorations were all taken down and put away the 26th, and Matt really cried when he took the tree down, poor Clark! But it was a great Christmas and we had a wonderful season together and we hope you did too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and thank you family and friends , Dad, Mom and Johnny, for your generosity and love!! We all THANK YOU, your gifts were amazing!!!

The girls are enjoying their school break, driving me crazy, and tearing the house apart! We took them to see Tale of Desperaux yesterday, very much a waste of money, boring depressing movie! Normally Meag will sit through a whole movie but not this one, which told me they thought it was as boring as i thought it was, and Matts snoring was a dead giveaway!! Note to self, Desperaux not a movie needed to own, not even a book needed to read, I'm already a depressed person, don't need any more help with that!

We have had weird weather, yesterday was 60 degrees, almost all the snow melted then over night it froze, all that melted snow, water, all over and freezing rain, we woke up to half an inch ice all over. Travel was not advised, and we had to chisel the ice off our cars and ice skate to our neighbors!! The girls had their friend over today to pass the time because we couldn't get out and we are all getting bad cabin fever! They played up in their room for a while, then down stairs for a while, they made a tent, played play doh, watched a favorite movie, colored, watched another movie while coloring, played house, dog, mommy and daddy, jail, and were just plain silly! It is so nice for Sam and Meag to have such good friends 4 doors down! Ajla and her little sister Lala spend alot of time here and my girls there! Their parents are equally sweet, Zena and Fudo.

This break will be a long one, and I will try to enjoy it, I know the girls are enjoying it, they love having mom home, and I am loving being home with them again, even if it's just for a week! Happy Ice Day everyone! Don't get cabin fever too bad!

Diamond Castle... a favorite of ours!
