I have to say this year has started off not so great, I lost my dear sweet Aunt Vera on January 3, 2008. I just wanted to say how much I love her and will miss her, she taught me and my brothers so much! I always knew family came first for her, she let me spend several weeks with her for a couple summers, they were wonderful visits, always educational and fun! She always taught me how important education was, and the gospel, she had the deepest love for this gospel!! I have boxes of letters and cards, birthdays, christmas, valentines, thanksgiving, 75% of them were from Aunt Vera, she never forgot a birthday, or any holiday for that matter, even when I had children, she always sent them one too, always the question on the cards "Read a good book lately?" She loved books, especially childrens literature, the best books my girls have are the ones she sent them, and the best books I have are the ones she gave me! I owe my love of reading mostly to her! She was so gracious and kind, giving, loving, selfless, always put others before her, I hope I can always keep her with me, and keep learning from her, even after her passing.
I am so thankful for this gospel and the comfort I take that I will see my loved ones again!! Thanks Aunt Vera, for all you have been to me!! I love you!!
